Walk & Talks in July

2th of July at 17.00
Arrive by by metro, train, bus, bike or by foot and meet your host Mia at Nordhavn Metro station
Location: Nordhavn
Duration: 1 - 2 hours
Distance: 1,5 - 2 km
Description: We will meet on the entrance of the Nordhavn Metro station (M4 line) by the stairs.
Come and explore my waterfront neighborhood, Nordhavn – from industry to community.
I live in Scandinavia's largest and most ambitious urban development project, transforming a former industrial zone into a dense and diverse city district designed for 40,000 residents. When you step off the metro at Nordhavn metro station, you arrive in a unique piece of Copenhagen's history. Once a closed-off freeport surrounded by iron fences, the area began its transformation in 2014 with a strong focus on sustainability.
Nordhavn is deeply rooted in its industrial past – and that history lives on in the new district of Copenhagen. The original street layout has been preserved, and many old buildings are being renovated and reused, blending the past with the future. Today you'll find vibrant public spaces, urban residences, canals, bridges, shops, restaurants, hotels, and more – all surrounded by water. Approximately 7,000 people live here today, but the area will eventually welcome over 30,000. We locals call it "the village" – because everything we need and love is right here. I look forward to showing you around as a local Nordhavner.
PS: Will be cancelled in the event of rain.
